Suprisingly, this website has been receiving an average of 30 hits a day -- everyday -- since the election. I hadn't planned to blog until after I'd actually taken up my duties, but
thought I'd better let folks know - I do intend to keep up this blog. (though I doubt I'll post as often as I did the last 10 days or so before the election)
Since the election I've been taking a short hiatus. Playing catch up -- sleep, housework, work/work. Family and friendships.
Had no idea how exhausting the grueling pace of the several weeks leading up to the election would be. Holding my largest training of the year and mounting the murder mystery play during the campaign, of course added to the fatigue. No regrets thought - it was a wonderful, wild ride.
This Wednesday is the inaugural meeting of the new council, the council which will serve you for the next three years.
I'm eager to take my place at the table and to represent the council on the community organizations that the mayor feels I can make the best contribution to. It will of course be a steep learning curve for the next several months.
I'll keep you posted.
